The conglomerate of cottages is located just outside the nucleus of Sala Capriasca in Canton Ticino. Until the 1980s, this rural building was one of the few present in the hilly area mainly used for agriculture.
Ronco Castalla took on its present appearance through various renovations carried out slowly during the 1990s.
The challenge of the project consisted in finding the subtle balance between the historical identity of the complex and its transformation into a single-family house, with a renewed personality and with its relative contemporary living standard.
